Now that Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff run has come to an end, we’re likely to see several Irish players enter the transfer portal over the next few days. According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune,

South Bend, Ind. – Notre Dame offensive lineman Pat Coogan, who started 26 games over the last two seasons and often served as the team's pregame hype man, is transferring. Coogan announced his intentions on social media Thursday and will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.

With Notre Dame’s season now completely over afater falling short in the National Championship game, the focus is entirely on roster management for the 2025 football season — and obvioulsy the transfer portal.
