Europe’s top human rights court has delivered a series of rulings against Russia, stating in the first ruling that Russia has violated international law during the conflict in Ukraine.

The European Court of Human Rights delivered two of four rulings against Russia in an international inquiry brought by Ukraine and the Netherlands.

Two landmark decisions by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that Russia committed violations of international law during its war in Ukraine and was responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in 2014.
