Ty Simpson and Isaiah Horton connected three times for touchdowns, and No. 10 Alabama escaped Auburn with a 27-20 victory in the rivalry known as the Iron Bowl on Saturday night.

AUBURN — Cam Calhoun has been ejected from the Iron Bowl for targeting. The Alabama football defensive back was charged with targeting with 5:54 left in the second quarter against Auburn after a hit against Tigers quarterback Ashton Daniels while holding a 17-0 lead.

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix met his wife Izzy Nix when he was a quarterback for the Auburn Tigers and she was a cheerleader there. For Saturday’s big Iron Bowl between Auburn and the Alabama Crimson Tide, Izzy posted a throwback cheerleader picture fired up for the game.
