Israel’s cabinet is preparing to dismiss Israel’s attorney general, a key Netanyahu critic, as the U.S. grows increasingly impatient with the war in Gaza.

Israel’s prime minister accused Hamas of not wanting a ceasefire deal and requested that the Red Cross bring food and medical care to hostages held in Gaza, after public fury ignited over propaganda videos showing two emaciated Israeli captives.

Over 600 former senior security officials asked the US president to compel Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza. Former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, former Shin Bet chief Ami Ayalon, and former deputy IDF chief Matan Vilnai on Sunday announced they had sent a letter to US President Donald Trump requesting that he compel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the current war.
