President Donald Trump said on Friday that his Administration will turn to Chicago next in its efforts to crack down on crime, nearly two weeks after he took control of Washington, D.C.’s police force.

The Trump administration has been planning for weeks to send the National Guard to Chicago, two officials told CNN, as President Donald Trump looks to expand his anti-crime agenda and crackdown on immigration in major cities across the United States.

Trump indicated that the Midwestern city could receive similar treatment to what he’s done in Washington, D.C., where he’s deployed 2,000 troops on the streets.
