It’s hard to believe, but the high school cross-country season is nearly finished in Arizona. With the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championships being moved up by a week to Nov. 2, that means section championships are here this week.

West Rowan’s tennis team played without No. 1 player Autumn Yount on Monday but was able to advance in the 3A dual team tennis state playoffs. Yount is part of West’s Future Famers of America contingent that is in Indianapolis this week for the national convention.

The Section V girls soccer postseason is here. For the next few weeks, teams will weed out their top competition to determine who warrants an opportunity to represent the section in the upcoming New York state tournament.
