Island communities off the coast of North Carolina are bracing for flooding ahead of the year's first Atlantic hurricane, Hurricane Erin.

With highs remaining in the mid and upper 90's, we're continuing to see more heat advisories being issued for this week.

Hurricane Erin isn't forecast to hit land, but it will bring large waves and dangerous rip currents to the U.S. East Coast this week.
