Leland police are investigating after six people were killed during a shooting. According to authorities, a total of 16 people were shot on October 10, 2025, which was the night of Leland High School’s homecoming game.

The Washington County Coroner’s Office later confirmed, in total, 16 people were shot - a dozen of who were taken to hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries.
