Michael Paul Brown, the suspect accused by police of opening fire inside a Montana bar and killing four people has been taken into custody, PEOPLE can confirm. According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Brown was taken into custody behind The Ranch Bar just west of Anaconda on Highway 1.

Authorities announced Friday that they apprehended suspect Michael Paul Brown near the search area in Anaconda, Montana, following a shooting in a bar that left four people dead.

Michael Paul Brown's bail has been set at $2 million, the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Attorney confirmed to NonStop Local.  Paul is being held in the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center.  UPDATE: August 8,
