Benjamin Sesko is at the centre of a tug-of-war battle between Newcastle United and Manchester United to secure the RB Leipzig forward’s transfer.After seeing their opening offer of €80m

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. The Old Trafford side have been battling Newcastle United for the 22-year-old striker, with both teams submitting offers. Newcastle initially tabled €75million plus €5m in add-ons, before raising that on Monday to at least €80m.

Although the Magpies have offered more up front and more in total, Sesko desires to go to Old Trafford. The Slovenian has been earning rave reviews in Germany since joining Leipzig in 2023. He has scored 39 goals and provided eight assists in 87 appearances across all competitions.
