Bowen Yang has entered the ring for “mystery drone” commentary. Over the weekend, Yang appeared on Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” segment, dressed as one of the drones seen flying over New Jersey over the last month.

Yang, who’s worked on “Saturday Night Live” since 2018, says he was “really hesitant” to see the film. In “Wicked,” Yang plays Pfannee (pronounced “fanny”), a student at Shiz University and one of Glinda’s (Ariana Grande) friends — or, as Yang puts it, Glinda’s “publicists.”

SNL” couldn’t resist taking shots at the Garden State and its unnerving drone sightings even as reports of the flights have dropped in recent days. In the legendary show’s latest “Weekend Update,” cast member Bowen Yang dressed up as a drone and spoke with host Michael Che about the reported sightings while also taking a lighthearted jab at New Jersey.
