A trio of black bear cubs was rescued from the hills in Northern California and transported to a wildlife center in Southern California for treatment.

The Hesperia Animal Shelter is restarting its Cat Spay/Neuter Program on Aug. 18 and needs community volunteers to help catch and release stray cats.
