Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump have held a lengthy phone call to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East and Ukraine peace talks.

"It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace," President Trump posted on social media.

The United States had asked Ukraine not to strike Russia’s energy infrastructure, after which Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine’s energy facilities in Kremenchuk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his evening address.
