Jan 11, 2015 · I'm a Safari International member and I just checked. Their collection of manuals for Zanzibars start at 2002, but looking at the water panel it may be the same. My Sahara is similar but I can't really help because I just got it this fall and it was already winterized.

Jun 9, 2011 · Safari From the deep dark reaches of the Monaco archives. It apears the SMC 2001 and before have been deleted. The specs appear the same as 2001 as far as my memory serves. The SafariInteranational.org owners group/club has some great info on the earlier all-Safari units if you go back through the newsletters.

Oct 28, 2021 · My clueless friend has a 2001 Safari Zanzibar with a charging problem. 4 new 6 volt coach batteries are fine but almost new (2/21) engine batteries have a problem. I used a VOM to test voltage when plugged into shore power, with generator running and with engine running.

Mar 31, 2012 · In 2006 my wife and I purchased a 2001 Safari Zanzibar 39'. Being the cautious type I did a lot of research on Safaris of this vintage, mostly online, before writing the check. After a couple of years of full-timing, much to our dismay, ripples, blisters and corrosion (under the paint layer) started appearing on the drivers side of the coach body.

Jul 7, 2015 · We recently purchased a 2001 Safari Zanzibar. The caulking on the roof appears to be original, 14 years old! This Safari like most does not have a rear roof ladder. I did not inspect the roof, as I should have, prior to purchasing. Today I removed old caulk across the rear cap where it connects to the roof.

Aug 13, 2018 · I have a 2001 Safari Zanzibar motorhome with a brand-new set of both chassis and house batteries. When the chassis battery set is connected to the starter motor (dedicated cable) there is a 4 amp draw on the battery set. I have determined that disconnecting the negative cable attached to the alternator (at the alternator) "fixes" that problem.
