In case anyone is interested the pre 2011 update NIV of 1984 can be found online here: Read the New International Version Bible Free Online Since the 2011 update all electronic versions of NIV84 have been removed from places like Bible gateway and the various Bible apps so I was quite surprised to see it here.

And from online I am hearing the NIV and modern versions are Vatican versions. Then I hear that some of the text of the KJV has been altered because King James was a bisexual and found some things offensive.

This new NIV has taken gender neutrality to an entirely new level to be politically correct. This is not how to translate God's word. Not only that, the NIV is extremely similar to the JW's Bible.

To give an example of why I am "KJV only" : "Universe" is mentioned 4 times in the NLT, 4 times in the NIV, 2 times in the ESV, 2 times in the CSB, 4 times in the RSV, and 1 time in the HNV.
