Sep 20, 2022 · I dont think intel sells expansion modules anymore specifically for Intel NUC. It's only barebones units. You have to use third-party vendors who still specifically manufacture expansion modules for intel NUC kits such as GORITE. I haven't found anything on the intel NUC website that would say otherwise. Maybe I'm wrong.

But you'll still add noise, and you won't get the full gpu power due to the bandwidth limitations of using a TB egpu. And it'll take more desk space. But a 3060 in an EGPU will totally be an upgrade to the 2060 mobile in your NUC.

Oct 4, 2018 · Short answer: even if the inside of your NUC looks completely clean & dust free - there is a spot where dust gets trapped between the cooling fan and the air intake fins - but you can't see this, until you actually remove the cooling fan. Simply cleaning this out, dropped my operating temperature by 50°C.

Jan 30, 2023 · for the RAM question, you want to have all your RAM sticks to be the same speed, in this case 3200 MHz. The Nuc 11 was discontinued due to parts supply issues not being a bad device. I believe towards the end they even had to released a speced down version with no Thunderbolt ports.
