I used to have a Marantz direct-drive turntable that wouldn’t run at the correct speed. It wasn’t because it was a direct-drive, though.

May 11, 2021 · Contact Pro-Ject to get it fixed. It could be the motor itself or a component on the PCB that controls the motor. Pro-Ject uses very cheap off the shelf motors like a lot of belt-drive turntable manufacturers. Jan 2, 2015 · Bob_in_OKC Forum Resident. Location: Dallas, Texas. It's not exactly Pro-Ject making any of it. The turntable factory in Litovel makes it all, and it is branded Pro-Ject or Music Hall. The tonearm on the Music Hall MMF-2.2 is actually pretty nice. It's the same of extremely similar to the one from the MMF-5.
