This was pretty good! Personally, I still prefer the ending of the 1963 movie; Piggy's death and the final chase felt more brutal and chaotic. But this one leans hard into the trippy, Apocalypse Now, descent-into-madness vibe and it works well.

Saving Private Ryan, next to Apocalypse Now, is still the best war movie I’ve ever seen. I’m going to continue posting about Steven Spielberg in the coming weeks, as we’re just about one month out from Spielberg’s next film Disclosure Day. I may need to rewatch this film today.
