Seattle Police Department (SPD) detectives are investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy that occurred in the Roosevelt neighborhood on Thursday evening. SPD said it received a "behavior crisis call" from 6620 Roosevelt Way Northeast, which is the Cedar Crossing Apartments, at about 4:15, with reports of a 45-year-old suicidal woman, who is believed by police to be the 4-year-old boy's mother. As part of a recent proposal by the city of Seattle, KOMO News confirmed that newly added fencing now divides Denny Blaine Park into two areas. Clothing is still required along the grass-filled western area of the park, while the eastern, beach area of Denny Blaine is now designated as "clothing optional."
