How Halls Harbour got it's name! Samuel Hall was a New England privateer during the late 1700s, known for using the sheltered cove that would later bear his name as a hideout. After the American Revolution, he and his crew reportedly sought refuge along the Bay of Fundy’s rugged shoreline, evading British patrols and slipping into the secluded harbour to repair ships and restock supplies.
