And this is where the Left keep going wrong. Faced with a serious societal issue that causes deep concern to much of the country - in this case our broken borders - they redirect the discussion on to unrelated economic matters - as though voters are motivated *only* by financial considerations. It's pure economism. It's "the cost of everything but the value of nothing". They are the new Thatcherites.
