Petunia Pruning 101: it’s so easy!! If your petunias are looking leggy, a good trim/fertilizing should fix them right up. Taking off the leggy growth forces the plant to focus its energy on the shorter, new growth. Few tips: - just go for it - take off the bottom 25% of the plant - remove any leggy stems that have grown along the top - follow up with a water soluble fertilizer. Do this once a week to keep beautiful blooms. - Supertunias do not need to be deadheaded and they do not produce seeds.
