My 5-year-old son had his adenoids removed recently after he had repeated ear infections. This is a story of our experience from the infections to post-surgery recovery.

Playdough Surgery 🔪 👄 - Adenotonsillectomy or “T&A” . Next up - we watched a few tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy surgeries on @youtube - we loved the one by Dr. L. Mariel Osetinsky from @mayoclinic the best! . This one was a little tricky to create and reach but those juicy meatballs had to come out 😂 . Tools of the trade: “Allis forceps” - tongs from @melissaanddougtoys ice cream playset “Laryngeal mirror” - our favorite @pawpatrol spoon (one could say we were doing this part right side up -

Replying to @Prettianna Golden is 6 months post surgery from eartubes/ adenoidectomy and we are blessed to say we have seen SOOOO much improvement (while he still has a ways to go and catching up to do as far as verbal communication) he knows everything he is suppose to know for his age plus more in some areas… acedemically he is not behind but due to having hearing loss for nearly 2 years during a crucial time period of learning to talk he is playing catch up in terms of communication.
