The friendly goons (patagonian cavies / maras) wanted some chew time and attention from me while I was working on laundry. I'm ot sure how audible their talking is, but when they're being social they walk around grunting and then their excited sound is sort of an "awhee!" They're pretty closely related to guinea pigs and have some similar social behaviors except for their monogamy.
